Frenchedelia is the epitome of French psychedelia given to the world.
The third brat we took out of the fertile womb of the French psychedelic underground for your delight, the latest of the Frenchedelia, as is often the case in large sibling groups, enjoys more freedom than his elders. In fact, this new compilation's volume is sailing on various genres. Mainly flirting with garage (you have here a bunch a good representatives), sometimes dealing with heavy psychedelic rock (She Hunts Koalas, Pearblossom Highway) or more ethereal (Whatever Hippie Bitch) or even with the frenetic post-punk of The Dead Mantra, but always following a fuzz/keyboard duality as governing principle that stands almost as a synonym of psychedelia on its own. Obviously, the swines of digital music and other aficionados of the silly 30-second preview who'll give a perfunctory listen to this compilation will take offense of the apparent inconsistency. Let's be clear, this new opus has been designed according to cosmological principles that govern the universe and therefore obeys Einstein's general relativity. That is, it follows a straight axis in a curved space. Therefore it will appear to be chaotic for listeners who do not take the effort to immerse themselves fully in this space-time continuum of about an hour, and a clear evidence for the most conscientious that have done things right, with a listening in dignified conditions.
